Lechonera Orlando settles into the diverse Orlando dining scene as a straightforward, no-frills spot focusing on authentic Puerto Rican and Spanish flavors. Its location on East Colonial Drive makes it a convenient stop for locals craving hearty, home-style meals that lean heavily on traditional Puerto Rican staples.

The restaurant’s atmosphere is lively, with music that sometimes pushes the volume into the background noise territory—something to keep in mind if you’re coming for a quiet catch-up. It’s the kind of place where the buzz comes from the clatter of plates and the energy of people digging into generous portions rather than a hushed dining experience.

On the menu, generous combinations like the Pernil Pork Combo and plats with pulled pork, various types of rice, and classic sides such as macaroni salad and fried plantains anchor the culinary vibe. Dishes like the chicharrón offer a satisfying crunch, while seafood options such as ceviche and paella provide a broader taste of the Caribbean coast. Sandwich options ranging from Cuban to tripleta add a casual, grab-and-go element for those not looking for a full sit-down meal.

Lechonera Orlando works best for anyone who prioritizes authentic, flavor-forward Puerto Rican cooking over trendy presentation. It’s a solid pick for families, groups, or solo diners who want a substantial meal with familiar, comforting elements. The friendly service and generous servings make it a place where many leave with extra food to take home. Because of its rhythm and portion sizes, lunchtime or early dinner is ideal to snag a seat and dive into the menu without feeling rushed.

Expect a vibrant, no-pretenses spot where the focus is on well-executed traditional dishes. It’s less about fine dining ambiance and more about the full-flavored experience of Puerto Rican comfort food served fresh and with a welcoming hustle.

Went to Orlando for a trip and stopped here before coming home. Best money I spent on the whole trip. Everything was very delicious. Cooked to perfection. Got a lot of food to go. Will definitely stop here again on the next trip. Eat here and get some to bring home.

Good food. The music is a bit loud making it difficult to hear the employees and each other. But portions are pretty big.

This Lechonera serves good and tasty food don't get me wrong; but it is Not Boricua. They make the Pernil baked but it's not "Lechon" and the cuerito is not hard & crunchy. It's just soft cuerito mixed in with the carne. If you're looking for a true Puertorican Arroz con Gandules and Lechon con cuerito, This is not the place! But you can still enjoy their style of cooking and won't be disappointed. Search for 100% Boricua Lechonera and look for a Boricua Flag instead. I gotta say the pollo guisado they serve it's very good. The arroz con gandules is also good. The yuca is plain, not marinated in mojo. It's a good place to eat with many choices to choose from Latin America.
